Here at Builders Buddy we take the safety of our customers very seriously and only every supply products that we know are fit for purpose.
ALL our insulated digging tools are SHOCKSAFE branded and are manufactured in Huddersfield, England to the exact specification of BS8020.
Each tool is flash tested to 10,000 volts and printed with its own individual number, thus offering total traceability and guaranteeing full conformity to live cable working specification.
Unfortunately over the years we have seen a number of insulated digging tools for sale that appear to conform to the relevant standards but unfortunately don’t.
The majority of these tools have been manufactured abroad and while they appear to be genuine, upon closer inspection simply would not pass the rigorous testing required for BS8020 certification.
